The Beginning of Boundaries

The Beginning of Boundaries 〰️

A free live workshop to discover what yes and no actually feel like in your body. So that you can be the kind, generous, and loving person you know yourself to be - without feeling resentful and unappreciated.

WHY THE SCRIPTS DON’T STICK
You’ve saved the boundary scripts off Pinterest. You’ve read the self-help books. You’ve rehearsed what to say in your head a million times over.

I know it’s exhausting, you’ve done everything they told you to do.
Then someone asks you for something, and the yes is out of your mouth before your brain has even clocked in.

That why it isn’t a willpower or lack of knowledge problem.

Long ago your body learned that keeping people happy keeps you safe, and it moves faster than your words.

So to unravel this pattern, we start with the body.

The body is the Beginning of Boundaries.

IMAGINE…

  • Saying yes to plans because you actually want to go and not because you’re worried about letting anyone down

  • Not jumping in to rescue people / mediate their problems, and instead remaining detached and unbothered

  • Firmly asserting your standards and what you will and will not tolerate from family, friends, colleagues, clients, and anyone else who has been disrespecting you

  • Picking the restaurant on behalf of the group chat

  • Telling your boss “Sorry, I’m not available for that,” said once, with no spiral afterwards

  • Telling your partner what you need in your normal voice, with zero rehearsal

That's what your yes feels like when it's really yours. A sense of lightness, peace, and a deep knowing that you are still loved even with your boundaries in place.

WHAT WE’LL DO TOGETHER in 90mins
There’s a tiny space between someone’s request and your answer, and that space is where your power lives.

In the workshop you’ll:

  • Feel what happens in your body in the seconds before an autopilot yes

  • Practise catching it while it’s happening

  • Stay with yourself long enough to choose a different answer

  • Cultivate the felt sense of a boundary and energetic protection that you can carry with you as an ongoing tool in your self-help toolkit

This is for you if you desire to feel...

  • Confident saying what you actually want, whether it's picking the restaurant, the weekend plans, or the pay negotiation with your boss

  • Calm and steady when someone asks you for something, with time to check in with yourself before you answer

  • Excited about your yes, because you can now give from overflow instead of depletion

  • Light and guilt-free when you say no

  • Safe speaking up in your relationships, at work and with family

  • Proud of yourself after a hard conversation rather than spiralling over it

  • Trusting of your own gut, so decisions feel easy and quick

  • Appreciated, because the people around you finally know what you need

  • Full of energy for the things and people you love

  • At home in your body, and more like yourself every day

MEET ROKIA
Hi, I’m Rokia 👋 I spent a decade in social services in various helping roles, leadership roles and case management roles before becoming a Somatic Practitioner.

I was always the ‘whatever you need me to do’ type. The strong, capable, high functioning type. I never resonated with the term people-pleaser. But it turns out I had a really hard time saying no. I had a hard time removing myself from uncomfortable, awkward, or straight up disrespectful situations. Always the laugh it off type. I always found myself involved in gossip, drama, and self-appointed mediator roles because I couldn’t handle tension or conflict.

I thought this was just my personality. Easy going, laid back, happy-go-lucky, peace keeper & always up for a good time, no matter the cost.

Turns out I was a chameleon desperate for belonging in every environment but had no idea who I actually was underneath all the performing and proving.

Now I help kind, capable people stop abandoning themselves to keep the peace.
